Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for supporting the attorney staff in connection with all aspects of TTS (Treasury and Trade Solutions) Cash Management offerings, specifically, Accounts, Payments, Receivables, Liquidity Management, and Digital Channel Services. Must facilitate workflow of product legal activities and timely handling of matters. Will perform legal research, contract review, risk analysis, drafting memos and other communications, tracking progress, and such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time. Will coordinate with internal stakeholders of all levels, analyze responses, coordinate with internal stakeholders, maintain tracking logs and reports, and communicate status. Must organize and maintain project files, prioritize matters, maintain conference call calendar, monitor e-mails and calls, proof-read final negotiated agreements, prepare statistical analysis, suggest improvements, and the like. Must have the ability to work independently, manage and prioritize several matters at a time, handle matters of varying degrees of complexity, identify issues for escalation, possess strong oral and written communciation skills, and be a mission-oriented team player. Reports to the head of the Cash Legal group that supports cash management products that are global, North America regional, and U.S. domestic in scope. Through this role, the person will interface with the wider organization, including Product, Sales, Operations, Legal, Risk, and Compliance in the U.S. and cross-regionally.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have an Associates Degree with a paralegal certification or 3 years of legal assistant experience. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Powerpoint is required. Must have 3 - 5 years of administration experience, ideally in connection with finance, treasury, regulatory, negotiations, commercial transactions, or litigation. Must be able to communicate effectively with clients, and internally across various levels of staff and management. Must have experience with complex deals, heavy volume; demonstrated ability to manage pipeline; detail oriented. Should have spot issues, analyze, and develop recommendations. Knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, and banking a plus.
