Legal Specialist The candidate will be responsible for preparing, submitting and maintaining core regulatory licenses including to, department of insurance licenses such as pharmacy benefit manager, third party administrator, utilization management, and health insurance, as well as government licensure such as Medicare and Medicaid. Will assist with other regulatory management functions such as All Payer Claims Databases, officer/director information, and disclosure of ownership. Support and lead research activities, issue investigation, support of internal department requests and projects as assigned under the direction of the licensing Director. Respond to various regulatory agencies requests as it pertains to company licensure. Collaborate with internal partners on regulatory issues related to licensure. Interpret, analyze and process required information for regulatory filings and provide appropriate responses. Maintain complete and accurate records of licensure and regulatory activity; maintain master database and filing systems. Assist with routine regulatory management functions, such as state All Payer Claims Databases, market conduct surveys, character and competency reports and disclosure of ownership filing Support leader in planning, managing and executing projects initiated by new products and business initiatives. Investigate, analyze and conduct licensure related research on state & federal filing requirements and recommend appropriate action based on initial research and findings. Respond to routine requests and research data for internal departments (e.g., client audits, credentialing). Manage Office and Director lists and personal information necessary for regulatory filings such as biographical affidavits. Manage license discipline tracking, notifications and related documentation. Should have Bachelor’s degree and 5-8 years of experience. Knowledge of regulatory is essential. Paralegal Certificate is Preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access). Experience with SharePoint preferred. Strong organizational skill is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skill is essential.
