Museum Specialist (History), GS 9 Duties: Assists the Museum Director in analyzing, evaluating, organizing, and directing education and training policies, procedures, activities, and operations. Researches, develops, and recommends publication of thematic educational curriculum kits/brochures for various audiences. Conducts original research as necessary. Coordinates with on-post agencies to maximize the visibility and utility of Museum programs.
Qualification and Experience
Qualificatons: Must have 1 year of specialized experience which includes: Furnishing technical information to customers from library resources and compiling publication, bibliographies, and/or special information for further study. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07).
Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D. degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: art, history, museum studies, and scientific subjects.
