Assistant General Counsel, Technology Transactions Duties: Work with business and function colleagues (Legal, Risk, Compliance, Finance, HR and Enterprise Operations & Technology) across Citi: the Institutional Client Bank; Global Consumer Bank; and Corporate Functions and provide a broad range of commercial legal support across Citi business areas, including: HR; Advertising & Marketing; Facilities; Travel; Print Services; Technology Hardware and Software; and Professional Services (IT and non-IT). Negotiate and draft a wide range of general commercial contracts, such as technology agreements, outsourcings, other services arrangements and other commercial contracts, for North America and Global enterprise use. Strong emphasis on intellectual property agreements, including software licenses and SaaS/Hosted/Cloud-based services. Many agreements support global frameworks and require flexibility to adapt a global model to specific and varied local legal, regulatory and business requirements.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD required. Member of Florida bar in good standing or ability to become authorized in-house counsel within 6 months of joining. Should have 5-7 years of proven general commercial transactional experience, with an emphasis on IP and technology transactions. Experience in the financial services sector is preferred. Strong drafting and negotiating skills. Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, teamwork, organizational and analytical skills. Demonstrated ability to engage and complete transactions quickly and effectively, with minimal supervision.
