ProfileSenior Paralegal The candidate will work in the Staff Counsel office representing developers and general contractors in construction defect litigation. Will be responsible for collaboratively working with multiple attorneys during all phases of construction defect litigation. Organize contracts, plans, specifications, letters and other legal/construction documents. Review, categorize and organize large numbers of documents for internal use and for outside production to opposing parties. Assist attorneys with preparations for client meetings, depositions, hearings, and trials. File documents in state court and prepare e-filing when appropriate. Handling all phases of discovery, trial, reporting and compliance with litigation management guidelines. Coordinate trial or hearing logistics, exhibits, technology, displays, etc. Coordinate electronic productions with clients, attorneys and third party vendors. Assist with law and motion, trial preparation and trial presentation. Assist attorneys in preparing a wide variety of documents, creating and maintaining notebooks. Performs other tasks as assigned. Should have Paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program, or an equivalent combination of education and experience in construction defect litigation. Must have 10+ years of relevant experience. Proficient computer and skills using a variety of software programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various other systems, required.
