Review:

"Laid-Back, But Sometimes, Too Much So"

Former Employee - Reviewed on September 02, 2017

Try to make it so that promotion and bonus-related decisions are more objective and less tied to people's relationships with one another. A casual environment is a plus, but make sure that professionalism is always maintained.

Pros : The firm offered pretty good benefits and put more emphasis on the work-life balance compared to other firms I have worked for. The general atmosphere here was mostly relaxed, and there were some opportunities to travel.
Cons : Office politics and interpersonal relationships played too much of a role in determining who would be successful here - I noticed this tended to demotivate people who were not well-connected or intuitively skilled in these areas. Overtime-related policies sometimes did not reflect the reality of the workload.
