Job Overview
A prestigious law firm located in Garden City, NY, is looking for a dedicated and skilled Associate Attorney to join its Matrimonial and Family Law practice. The successful candidate will bring expertise in handling cases involving divorce, custody, and other family law matters and will work closely with clients and team members to provide high-quality legal support.

Duties

• Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents related to matrimonial and family law cases
• Represent clients in court, handling appearances and advocating on their behalf
• Prepare cases for trial, including coordinating with clients and witnesses
• Maintain significant client and attorney communication, addressing client concerns and questions promptly
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and other team members to ensure cohesive and effective case management

Requirements

• 2 years of experience in matrimonial and family law
• Active admission to the New York State Bar
• Strong research, writing, and oral communication skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively
• Detail-oriented, dependable, and self-motivated with a commitment to teamwork

Education

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications

• Licensed to practice law in New York
