Tax Process and Automation CoE Director The candidate work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include to: Proactively lead the practise by setting strategy, drive the development of new business in the market, and provide technical advice across disciplines. Building strong networks within the firm to spot and capitalise on opportunities to get involved in projects that others are leading across a number of different business units and sectors. Identifying and discussing key issues with our clients to identify potential opportunities. Responsibility for a majority of day to day client communications. Responsibility to shape and deliver various projects that exceed the expectations of clients and own assignment quality criteria. Manage and deliver large projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing / challenging the output produced by the team. Responsibility for management of engagement financials. Helping to grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching.
Qualification and Experience
A Bachelor Degree is required. Certification(s) Required: At least one of the following: CPA, EA, Admission to the Bar, Professional Certification in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma Black Belt/Lean Black Belt/Master Black Belt, Certified Business Intelligence Professional (CBIP), SAP Certified Professional, Oracle Certified Professional. Required Fields of Study: Accounting, Business Administration/Management, Finance, Economics, International Business, Management, Quantitative Finance, Computer and Information Science. Additional Educational Requirements: Other STEM related fields of study may be considered. Certification(s) Preferred: In Lieu of one of the previously listed credentials, a Masters degree in Computer Science/Information Science or STEM Equivalent will be accepted. Should have 7 Years of Experience. Must demonstrates thought leader-level knowledge with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in a senior role focusing on resource management, operations and reporting, technology and innovation, and quality and compliance, preferably for a global network of professional services firms emphasizing the following: Building relationships with professionals from around the globe with diverse experiences and subject matter knowledge; Developing and managing the forecast and delivery of client service hours in a service delivery environment; Understanding of Tax compliance processes and current regulatory developments that affect the public accounting industry; Understanding of service delivery location selection methodologies for delivery of services based upon capacity, qualifications and understanding of engagement team needs; and, Managing for continuous improvement of processes and developing communications that support transfer of client service hours from the practice offices to the delivery centers. Should demonstrates thought leader-level abilities with, and/or a proven record of success directing efforts in a senior role defining, overseeing and leading complex projects, preferably for a global network of professional services firms, emphasizing the following: Performing risk assessments, developing work plans and project approaches and budgets, overseeing quality of deliverables and building teams to support the day-to-day execution of developed work plans; Building relationships and leading others to deliver quality results; Leading a strategic planning process for their function and translating plans into tactical actions and implementation; Developing standard processes and communications to facilitate the efficient and timely transfer of client service hours from the practice offices to the delivery centers; Resolving escalated matters involving individual engagement teams, the delivery centers and other stakeholders; Acting as liaison with the Learning and Development and IT functions on process, technology and tools, especially as it relates to the development and management of delivery centers; and, Identifying and addressing client needs, especially within a global services delivery model and/or function.
