Legal Assistant Duties: Routing incoming calls, scheduling/managing senior attorney’s calendar, as well as case management for cases assigned to the position, including client contact, transcription, drafting documents & correspondence, file closure, etc. Prioritize tasks, independently set and accomplish goals, monitor progress and communicate effectively with supervising attorneys, and demonstrate initiative to move cases forward.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: High School Graduate or Equivalent. College Degree (a plus). 2-4 years of experience preferred. Proficiency with Microsoft Word is mandatory, and Microsoft Excel is preferred. Experience with Time Matters is a significant plus. Real estate legal background also a plus. Excellent organizational skills, grammar skills, high attention to detail, and suitable typing skills (50wpm min). Exceptional computer skills are mandatory as firm management system is largely paperless. Probate or Estate Planning experience is a plus. All applicants will be required to take a computer aptitude test and may be subject to background screening.Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and politely with customers/clientele.
