ProfileLegal Assistant The candidate will assist on Legal file reviews and document validations. Will assist on file management to ensure court deadline are met. Drafting of legal documents such as: Motions, Affidavits, and Notice of Intent for VA, MD or DC Court Houses. Client interaction. Client communication. Legal research on legal matter such as complaints, cases, statutes and regulations. Calculating of fees. Assisting with projects/assignments from Attorneys. High school diploma required. Previous experience in a law firm, title, bankruptcy, foreclosure and/ or mortgage banking is a plus. Must have Microsoft Office skills including MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Previous administrative experience, preferably in a similar environment, preferred. Experience with data entry, proofreading and editing documents is required. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills needed.
