Patent Legal Assistant Responsibilities: Support Patent Attorneys and Technology Specialists. Assisting with the preparation, review and filing of patent applications, corresponding with clients via email and telephone and managing client requests, managing daily dockets and ensuring all deadlines are addressed, maintaining and organizing patent files and other electronic records, reviewing and proofreading patent documents, and other patent-specific and general administrative duties.
Qualification and Experience
Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree, excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, proficient oral and written communication skills, the ability to efficiently handle multiple tasks and changing assignments and priorities in a fast paced office environment, and knowledge or a willingness to learn practices and procedures relating to procurement of patents in the US and in countries. While prior patent prosecution experience would be a plus, we are willing to train the right person.
