ProfileAssistant United States Attorney (Criminal) The candidate will be responsible for prosecuting a variety of violations of federal laws, such as immigration, drugs, firearms, public corruption, and white collar crime. Will focus on prosecuting criminal offenses along the southwest border. Must have a J.D. degree, be an active member of the Bar (any US jurisdiction), and have 1+ year of post-J.D. legal or other relevant experience. Should preferably have strong academic credentials and superior legal research and writing skills. Courtroom experience including first-chair jury trials is desired. Relevant favorable experience includes investigating and prosecuting or defending criminal offenses. Expertise in grand jury practice is also desirable, as is experience with investigatory and prosecution techniques.
