A law firm in San Francisco, CA, is seeking a seasoned Employment Litigation Associate Attorney with substantial experience in handling investigations, appearing before administrative agencies, and managing employment litigation in federal and state courts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in defending wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions.

Job Details:

  • Conduct investigations and represent clients before federal and state agencies such as the . Department of Labor, the California Department of Industrial Relations, the California Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, EEOC, and other human rights agencies.
  • Advocate before the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) on matters involving union organizing, collective bargaining, unfair labor practices, union elections, and arbitrations.
  • Manage employment litigation cases in federal and state courts, focusing on wage and hour disputes, discrimination claims, wrongful termination, and other employment-related issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and handle all aspects of discovery, including conducting and defending depositions.
  • Provide strategic advice and counsel to clients on compliance with federal and California employment laws and regulations.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited law school.
  • Admitted to practice law in California.
  • Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with a strong emphasis on defending federal and state wage and hour cases, including collective and class actions.
  • Proven experience handling investigations and proceedings before administrative agencies and the NLRB.
  • Thorough understanding of federal and California employment laws, regulations, and legal precedents.
  • Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop effective legal strategies.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex legal issues clearly and persuasively.
