Corporate Paralegal The candidate will support Legal Department in corporate, compliance, and transactional matters, including assisting with transaction due diligence and setting up on-line data sites. Support Legal Department in areas of commercial, business, and employment litigation and claims defense. Work with outside counsel to manage resident eviction process. Assist Risk Management Department with managing low risk general liability claims. Assist with the processing and tracking outside law firm invoices. Prepare licensing applications and other regulatory filings. Assist with discovery obligations. Prepare and manage corporate filings and organizational documents. Research federal, state, and local licensing and permitting requirements and assist in compliance with same. Maintain and facilitate tracking, renewal and cancelation of corporate contracts. Maintain and update repository of legal and compliance policies and procedures. Correspond with company representatives, outside counsel and claimants. Format, proof, and finalize legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence. Possess advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel, and proficiency in (or ability to learn) Microsoft SharePoint, Project and Visio. Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel. Bachelor's degree from an accredited educational institution and a certificate of completion of a paralegal program approved by the American Bar Association is essential. 2+ years of paralegal experience for a company or law office. Prior experience preparing licensing applications is essential.
