This full-time, on-site role offers an exciting opportunity to work with public agencies and school districts across California, handling complex litigation and labor issues such as discrimination, retaliation, and misconduct. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in litigation and labor and employment law, with a passion for advancing the legal interests of public institutions and educational systems.

Duties:

• Handle complex litigation cases related to labor and employment law, particularly in the education and public agency sectors
• Provide legal counsel on issues such as discrimination, retaliation, misconduct, and employment practices
• Represent public agencies and school districts in court proceedings and administrative hearings
• Advise clients on labor laws, employment policies, and best practices to ensure legal compliance
• Collaborate with senior attorneys and legal teams to manage a diverse caseload
• Engage in mediation, arbitration, and other dispute resolution processes as needed
• Participate in professional development and mentorship opportunities within the firm

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in litigation and labor and employment law
• Strong background in handling cases related to discrimination, retaliation, and misconduct
• Ability to work effectively with public agencies, school districts, and other governmental entities
• Strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
• Commitment to fostering a collaborative and respectful work environment

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school

Certifications:

• Active California Bar membership (required)
