Paralegal The candidate will provide legal support to Agency in areas of Music Touring / Booking, Marketing, Sports, Live Events and Non-Profit and will report directly to General Counsel and Corporate Counsel. This role is responsible for, among other responsibilities listed below, managing Legal intake requests (e.g. Google drive), prioritizing pending items and identifying outstanding items, managing Legal calendar, performing limited legal research, along with reviewing contracts relating to upcoming promotional events and/or concerts. Manage and prioritize work flow, track a large number of projects, communicate well with others and work independently as needed. Manage Legal calendar and checklists, including request prioritization and follow up, organizing and storing files on the CMN server, securing management signatures, etc. Ability to review legal documents (i.e. incorporating comments / redlines and circulating for internal approvals) and draft legal documents based on existing templates. Assist with any compliance issues (e.g. state labor board inquiries, insurance, permits/licenses, releases, alcohol and beer commissions, etc.). Conduct research and provide guidance on any issues (e.g. non-profit, sweepstakes laws, labor law, etc.). Perform any other assigned duties or projects.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should be licensed Paralegal certificate from an accredited school or Bachelor’s Degree with relevant experience. 1 year paralegal experience required (experience in-house as a paralegal is a plus). Professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain strict confidentiality is required. Must possess highly effective written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented with superb critical thinking skills are needed. Experience in reviewing contracts is a plus. Should have strong research skills and proficient in identifying and effectively resolving any questions or issues. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), Adobe, etc. Bilingual in Spanish (oral and written) is required.
