Temporary Records and Information Management Attorney The candidate will report to the Chair Information Governance and Data Privacy Litigation. Will assist firm clients and support the work of the Information Governance Practice Group under the direction of the Chair Information Governance and Data Privacy Litigation and other senior attorneys within the Group. Draft, review and revise clients' records and information management policies and related policies and procedures (e.g., electronic communications retention policies, social media policies, etc.). Develop, update and vet clients' record retention schedules. Perform research regarding applicable state and Federal recordkeeping, data use, and storage and disposition requirements. Communicate with counsel in firm's international offices to obtain guidance on foreign record retention and data privacy requirements. Research and respond to client inquiries. Prepare project plans, budgets and other client pitch materials. Assist the Chair Information Governance and Data Privacy Litigation with other projects as needed. Should have a J.D. degree from an ABA-accredited institution and membership in good standing in a State Bar. Must have 3+ years of law firm or in-house experience advising clients on the management of information for compliance and litigation. Note: This is a four-month, non-renewable contract.
