Duties:
- Represent clients through all stages of litigation, including initiation, discovery, trial, and appeals.
- Attend court appearances, hearings, depositions, and case management conferences.
- Conduct in-depth legal research and investigations related to discovery.
- Draft, review, and manage various legal documents including discovery requests, motions, case evaluations, pleadings, settlement agreements, affidavits, and legal memoranda.
- Analyze and summarize discovery responses, depositions, and litigation updates.
- Engage in negotiations with opposing counsel to resolve claims.
- Provide legal analysis and status updates to clients throughout the litigation process.
- Work autonomously with minimal supervision, while ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.
- Active Georgia Bar License (or must be obtained by the end of the year).
- Strong litigation experience and skills, with 0-3 years of practice preferred.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to foster and maintain professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and opposing counsel.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
- Staff attorney or judicial clerkship experience is a plus.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Active Georgia Bar License (Required).
