We are a mid-sized law firm with offices in San Francisco and Orange County looking to hire a litigation associate with 2-5 years of experience. The position is in the Firm’s financial services practice group. The attorney’s primary responsibility will be defending single plaintiff and class deposit operations claims. Familiarity with the UCC, EFTA/Reg E, EFAA/Reg CC, BSA, FCRA, and/or FDCPA will be helpful. Day-to-day responsibilities will include drafting and arguing motions, making frequent court appearances, communicating directly with clients, and managing discovery requests and responses, including defending, taking, and preparing witnesses for depositions. Candidates must have a strong work ethic, excellent academic credentials, and strong organizational, research, writing, and speaking skills. Candidates must be able to manage a high volume of matters involving a wide range of subjects and claims. As a result, we are looking for someone with the ability to manage time and prioritize work. Candidates should be “team players” and able to collaborate, but they must also able to take ownership of matters and work independently. Applicants must also be admitted to the California Bar.
