A law firm in West Hartford, CT, is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in trademark law. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in all aspects of domestic and global trademark prosecution, strategy, enforcement, and management. They should excel in trademark counseling, clearance searches and analysis, prosecution and maintenance of trademarks, portfolio management, handling trademark disputes, internet and e-commerce issues, and online investigations and enforcement matters. Additionally, candidates should have experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating agreements and contractual provisions related to intellectual property and trademarks. Familiarity with managing IP due diligence, litigation discovery, and handling trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead trademark prosecution efforts, advising clients on trademark matters, conducting clearance searches, and analyzing search results.
• Develop and implement strategic trademark plans to safeguard and enforce clients' trademark rights globally.
• Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and contractual provisions concerning intellectual property and trademarks.
• Manage trademark disputes and represent clients before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
• Conduct IP due diligence and coordinate litigation discovery related to trademark disputes.
• Provide legal counsel on internet and e-commerce issues affecting trademark rights and enforcement strategies.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Connecticut, or eligibility for admission.
• 3-5 years of focused experience in trademark law, emphasizing prosecution and enforcement.
• Comprehensive knowledge of trademark law and procedures, nationally and internationally.
• Strong proficiency in trademark counseling, clearance searches, and prosecution.
• Excellent skills in drafting, negotiation, and analytical reasoning.
• Experience with IP due diligence, litigation discovery, and TTAB proceedings preferred.
• Familiarity with internet and e-commerce issues related to trademark law.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

• Admission to the State Bar of Connecticut, or eligibility for admission.
