Senior Associate General Counsel The candidate will provide business leaders with effective advice and counsel on pre-litigation, third party and government information requests, audits, enforcement and regulatory matters, and other strategic matters. Advise business leaders on potential liability and exposure, and resolving disputes inside and outside of litigation. Collaborate with other enterprise counsel on litigation and government investigations. Operate in a strategic and pro-active manner to assist our internal business clients in managing their relationships with pharmaceutical and network partners, and managing the legal and regulatory risk related to prescription drug programs. Function as part of a high performing, collegial team. As a member of the legal team, close collaboration with colleagues is expected, as well as a willingness to adapt to the changing legal support requirements of our growing business.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Juris Doctorate degree. Should have 10+ years legal experience in health care or managed care litigation or regulatory practices. Must have strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills. Should have ability to build and maintain rapport with superiors, peers, subordinates, and external company contacts, with demonstrated ability to lead and contribute to team effort. Experience working with the pharmacy and pharmacy benefits management industries is preferred. Understanding of the managed health care industry is desired. Government investigations or enforcement experience is preferred.
