ProfileStaff Attorney - Medical Legal Partnership The candidate will be responsible for provision of direct legal services to underserved, low-income clients; educating healthcare providers on assessing health-harming legal needs; and supporting the firm’s overall mission in the area served under the grant. Reporting to the Managing Attorney, the Medical-Legal Partnership Staff Attorney or Paralegal serves as the designated liaison between, stakeholders throughout the provider community, non-profit leaders, and a wide array of human service entities, this position is responsible for cultivating, and coordinating effective working relationships, from inception to follow up to assure impact to individuals served in Volusia County. Must be admitted to practice law in Florida or possess Certification as a Paralegal with commensurate experience. Should have 2-4 years’ experience as a lawyer or Paralegal. Commitment to low-income/vulnerable clients and communities on legal matters; experience working or volunteering in a health or human services setting preferred. Spoken and written fluency in English and Spanish preferred. Must possess excellent legal and community partnership skills and be computer literate (Microsoft Office 365).
