Paralegal - Litigation Duties: Provides assistance to lawyers from the filing of a complaint to the resolution, including coordinating all administrative aspects, i.e., documentation, databases and reporting. Maintaining, updating and organizing client files, trial transcripts, fact and research files, court papers and correspondence files in hard copy form as well as electronic form. Producing electronic and hard copy documents. Assisting with responses to discovery requests, including redacting documents in hard copy form as well as on line. Assembling documents for use at depositions. When needed, preparing for and attending court trials and/or arbitrations and handling all duties associated with a trial such as: preparing witness binders, preparing and tracking exhibits, contacting clients and witnesses, scheduling court reporters, etc. Cite-checking, blue-booking and proofreading briefs. Preparing privilege logs. Filing documents electronically with the courts. Trains and mentors entry-level project assistants. Performs other miscellaneous projects and tasks as requested by attorneys and Legal Assistant Manager. Performs other work-related duties, as may be assigned. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with strong academic credentials. 2+ years' experience working at a large law firm. Cite-checking, blue-booking and proofreading briefs. Demonstrated experience with Lexis, Westlaw, PACER & Relativity.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good judgment. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Able to works harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team. Able to preserve confidentiality and exercise discretion. Able to work under pressure. Able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities. A self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the job. Proofreads accurately. Must be proficient in Relativity.
