A prestigious law firm located in Sacramento, CA is seeking a talented and motivated Land Use & Environmental Associate Attorney with 4 to 6 years of experience. The ideal candidate will assist private organizations and public entities with complex legal matters related to natural resources, land use, and environmental regulations. The position offers an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team in a growing office, working on diverse cases involving CEQA, NEPA, endangered species, and more.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in matters related to land use, environmental law, and natural resources development.
  • Provide legal counsel regarding CEQA, NEPA, endangered species protections, and other environmental regulations.
  • Draft and review legal documents, including permits, contracts, and compliance plans.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex litigation and transactional matters.
  • Research and analyze legal issues and regulations affecting land use and environmental projects.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, government agencies, and stakeholders to advance project goals.
  • Manage a diverse caseload with a focus on delivering practical solutions for clients.
  • Stay up to date on current environmental laws and regulatory changes.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in environmental law, land use law, or natural resources law.
  • Proven experience in drafting legal documents and advising clients on regulatory compliance.
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize tasks efficiently.
  • Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
  • Client-focused approach with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships.

Education:
