Paralegal Specialist The candidate will be managing requests for legal advice from HR and Benefits professionals throughout the global organization. Will be managing requests for legal advice from HR and Benefits professionals throughout the global organization. Assistance with review, drafting and organizing HR and Data Privacy policies and procedures. Monitoring state and local employment law developments that impact organizational policy (ies). Analyzing data regarding reductions-in-force. Monitoring electronic inboxes for inquiries and new matters. Conducting legal research on global data privacy laws/compliance matters. Other administrative tasks as required. Conducts internal investigations, document gathering and review in response to subpoenas, agency charges and other requests for employment records. Will be responsible for managing responses to all employment records subpoenas for the company. Prepares strong, factually case summaries.
Qualification and Experience
A Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience required. Experience with eDiscovery processes and applications is required. Paralegal certificate is a plus. Should preferably have 10+ years of relevant previous legal experience, Law firm litigation paralegal experience preferred. Should have experience working on global HR/employment matters and cases/claims with specific focus on the EU/EEA. Experience with Labor & Employment litigation, data privacy, union/labor relations, employee/compliance investigations is a plus. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be detail oriented and possess strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to perform Internet based legal research and use Lexis or Westlaw is a must. Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint is needed. Proficiency with TyMetrix 360°, or similar case management database is a plus.
