International Trade Services Specialist II - Commercial The candidate will process all activities associated with Standby Letters of Credit; accurately interpret and execute instructions for issuance and amendment, examine documents, process payments, and collect commissions and fees. Work interactively with internal and external customers to process standby letter of credit requests. (External customers will include bank clients, beneficiaries, correspondent banks, agent banks and non-bank attorneys. Internal customers will include Relationship Officers and Customer Service Representatives.) Process full range of products including Commercial Letters of Credit, Documentary, and Foreign Check Collections. Issue, amend and advise/confirm incoming letter of credit transactions in accordance within defined deadlines. Examine documents for compliance with letter of credit terms, ISP, UCP, OFAC (Anti-boycott and AML) laws and regulations. Accept and/or effect payments under documentary collections and foreign check collections in accordance with URC and OFAC/AML laws, regulations, and established procedures within defined deadlines. Research and resolve customer issues. Other duties as assigned. High School Diploma or equivalent is essential. Must have 2+ years of experience with a financial institution (emphasis in commercial loan collateral processing or international trade services). Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in International Business and/or paralegal certification is essential. Should have 2+ years of direct experience in standby letter of credit processing; drafting terms and conditions, document examination and maintenance. Must be Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS).
