Interns may perform work that is directly related to their academic field or in an area of study in which they have an interest. Students participating in this program will gain: Career-related knowledge and experience, Knowledge of job related employment and training, Hands-on training, Exposure to new and emerging work trends and professions, Opportunity to explore new careers during academic studies, and Academic credit (based upon college or university authorization). Should be enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate or graduate program. Must demonstrate student status for the duration of internship. Interns must authorize a criminal background check in the form of an NCIC/FCIC and must not have been convicted of any felony or of a misdemeanor involving perjury or a false statement. Typically an internship occurs during the summer months: June, July, August; however, it may be during any time of the year or coincide with a school's period of study, such as a semester.
