Associate: Labor & Employment (ADA) The candidate must have strong academic credentials. Admission to practice law in New York is mandatory. must have extensive familiarity with accessibility issues (e.g., the ADA, Rehabilitation Act, and equivalent state/local laws) and with public accommodation issues. Experience with Federal court employment litigation, particularly litigation under Title III of the ADA, as well as experience with the DOJ, state or local regulatory investigations regarding accessibility are required. Experience against major advocacy groups for the disabled and/or regular accessibility Plaintiff’s counsel and experience with reasonable accommodation/leave issues under Title I of the ADA and the FMLA preferred. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.

Implement a good communication strategy from the top down. Have staff meetings so everyone is on the same page. Update the outdated technology in the office.

Cons : Expectations are often not communicated effectively. Communication period is a huge problem. Everyone feels off. Nepotism is an issue.
