Insurance Contract Manager Responsibilities: Review the insurance requirements in construction contracts to ensure that Austin can comply with such requirements; Evaluate which insurance coverages are required for construction projects; Evaluate whether insurance language in construction contracts adequately protect Austin’s interests; and suggest alternative solutions if needed; Manage the Certificates of Insurance; Act as a back-up for the surety bond underwriter; Frequent interaction with internal clients on their insurance needs relating to construction projects and frequent interaction with Austin’s insurance broker; Maintain and strengthen relationships with internal clients.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree, JD degree a plus. Should have 3+ years experience in the Property and Casualty insurance and/or construction industries reviewing insurance policies and/or construction contracts; Knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance coverages related to the construction industry; Experience as a coverage attorney, senior construction claims adjuster, insurance broker, or risk management specialist will be helpful; Internal client service focused; Surety Bond and construction claims experience helpful. Strong attention to detail, and strong written and analytical skills.
