The successful candidate will manage a caseload from inception through trial, providing exceptional legal representation to clients. This position involves client communication, taking and defending depositions, conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, leading mediations, developing case strategies, and taking cases to trial.
Job Description:
Duties:
- Communicate with clients to provide legal advice and updates on their cases.
- Take and defend depositions to gather evidence and testimony.
- Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Lead mediations and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
- Develop and implement effective case strategies.
- Represent clients in court, including trial preparation and trial proceedings.
- Maintain a high level of professional and ethical standards.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience practicing personal injury or civil litigation.
- Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar.
- Proven experience in drafting and responding to motions.
- Substantial knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure and Rules of Evidence.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active member of the Texas State Bar.
Certifications:
- Licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.
