Paralegal The candidate will provide assistance to the General Counsel and the Employment and Litigation Counsel on a variety of matters. Will maintain productive communication and hold information in confidence with franchise owners, business associates,outside counsel, and other the hotel's employees. Responsibilities include: Drafting all franchise agreements and supporting documents, default letters and termination agreements; Supporting the General Counsel in the preparation of annual Franchise Disclosure Documents; Maintaining all franchise files and the integrity of franchise information in electronic systems; Establishing a chronology of facts and litigation files for all litigation matters; Researching aspects of the case for purposes of responding to discovery requests and work with Litigation Counsel and outside counsel on gathering all necessary information; Calendaring dates and deadlines and help ensure compliance with all deadlines; Acting as a liaison among various internal departments as well as outside stakeholders including outside counsel and insurance carriers; Ensure that all copies of letters and other documentation are properly filed and distributed; Maintain or assist with maintaining all legal files. Handle contract administration for the franchise business. Assist and support the General Counsel and Litigation Counsel on tracking all litigation, reviewing pleadings and assisting with discovery. Assisting with drafting and revising miscellaneous contracts. Maintaining all legal file. Ability to anticipate and think through next logical steps of a project without excessive oversight or guidance. Maintain positive, professional communication and productive working relationships with outside counsel and the hotelsâ€™ employees, particularly the Franchise. Consistently demonstrate high degree of integrity. Exceptional attention to detail and pride in producing exceptional work. Must have a Bachelorâ€™s degree or paralegal certificate required. Some litigation experience is preferred. Should have 5-7 years of PQE.
