Litigation Counsel The candidate is responsible to understand the business and legal issues faced by clients. Furnish accurate and timely counsel to clients in dispute-related matters (as well as those matters reasonably likely to become a dispute) including employment transitions, regulatory enforcement, commercial disputes, and customer complaints. Work with management to devise efficient defense strategies and then tirelessly advocate on behalf of our client. Collaborate with other practice groups to integrate risk mitigation strategies into business transactions and regulatory compliance programs. Prepare letters, pleadings, memoranda, briefs, motions, and other communications. Assess and prepare clients for disputes. Adhere to deadlines and project plans. Maintain and grow existing client relationships. Participating, substantively, in new business consultations and new program development initiatives. Maintain an advanced knowledge of industry current events and ongoing developments by reviewing publications and publishing summaries and Conduct yourself with unwavering integrity and professional responsibility.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have significant experience with handling disputes and litigation, preferably securities enforcement matters. Knowledge of employment and privacy laws and regulatory structures within the securities industry is needed. Advanced verbal and written communication capabilities among sophisticated clients is critical. Should be a member of New Jersey Bar, in good standing. Graduate of a top-100 accredited law school is required.
