Director Tax (Transfer Pricing) Core Responsibilities: Transfer pricing planning on a global basis, including transfer pricing strategy on key tax planning initiatives and coordinating transfer pricing studies and tax authority documentation requirements globally; Work with key business and functional leaders to ensure strategic corporate and tax objectives are met and identify tax planning opportunities resulting from charges in business processes or operations; Consult on financial reporting issues related to transfer pricing; Act as the lead tax contact on various intercompany pricing policies and IP mitigation or integration; Support global tax planning projects and strategic initiatives, including extensive modeling of various tax planning projects and initiatives, including 482 at BEAT modeling; Support the company’s transfer pricing policies and intercompany cross-charges, including calculating quarterly intercompany charges; Support various APAs and audits globally, including carious valuations and modeling.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Advanced degree, including MA/MS, MBA, Ph.D., or J.D. degree in economics, finance, or related quantitative field or a Law Degree.Should have 10-15 years of transfer pricing and international, Big 4, or technology industry experience. Deep understanding of transfer pricing principles, theory, and interpretation. Deep exposure to international transfer pricing rules. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Excellent analytical and communication skills to work with all levels of personnel, inside, and outside the Tax Department. Must be proficient with financial systems/applications (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Alterix). Strong financial modeling and Excel skills in data compilation and aggregation, including pivot table, Vlookup & Macros. Strong project management skills. Detail-oriented. Preferred Skills: Experience working in large technology companies; Experience working in a high-growth, rapidly scaling environment; Big four public accounting/ law firm combined with in-house experience is a plus.
