Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will handle duties that include: Assist in preparing application for filing with EOIR and USCIS, primarily Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, and Employment Authorization Applications. (Familiarity with U-Visa, Family Based Petitions (I-130), andor Applications For Stay of Removal (I-246) is a plus.). Assist in drafting motions, briefs, and various legal documents. Preparing filings for submission with USCIS, EOIR, and other government agencies in accordance with respective standards. Assist clients in complying and preparing evidence. Drafting translations of various legal documents for submission to court. Communicate regularly with client regarding case status. Manage independent case load and ensure all deadlines are met. Maintaining internal case management system. The candidate must have Bachelor's Degree or Paralegal Certification required. (International degrees will be considered.). Must have +1 Year immigration law experience. Should have deep knowledge of EOIR and USCIS filing standards. Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. Must have ability to work independently. Should have ability to work under strict legal deadlines. Should have strong organizational skills, and ability to manage. Must be able write and speak in Spanish and English fluently.
