Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will review definitive transaction agreements for acquisitions, sales, loans, and other matters; prepare lists of critical dates memo and closing checklist; prepare escrow agreements and escrow deposits; prepare document amendments under attorney supervision; form/organize entities; obtain EIN; coordinate title and survey order and review; analysis of title and survey issues and coordinate curative steps; coordinate UCC/litigation/lien searches; coordinate delivery of final title/survey products for closing; prepare closing documents and coordinate finalizing closing statements; coordinate escrow closings; prepare settlement statement; E-file closing documents or prepare and send hard copy recording package to county; be proactive with post-closing tasks (obtain satisfaction of prior loans, confirm receipt of recorded closing documents; coordinate receipt of title policies, prepare closing binders); and constantly communicate with all parties involved in a transaction (seller and its counsel, purchaser and its counsel, lender and its counsel, brokers, title agent, surveyor).

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Bachelor's Degree and/or a paralegal certificate from an ABA approved paralegal program. Must have 10+ years of prior commercial real estate and finance experience. Possess strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication (oral and written) skills. Ability to work efficiently, and to work under pressure with or without direct supervision. Able to handle multiple projects at the same time and be familiar with computerized databases and on-line services.
