Job Overview

Duties

  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex finance documents, including credit agreements, loan agreements, and security documents.
  • Advise clients on various financial transactions, including leveraged buyouts, restructurings, and acquisition financings.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and clients on structuring, negotiating, and executing sophisticated financing arrangements.
  • Conduct legal research and provide counsel on financing strategies and legal risks.
  • Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, and financial institutions to ensure smooth transaction processes.
  • Monitor developments in finance law to stay current on regulations and industry practices.

Requirements

  • 4-7 years of experience in leveraged finance, preferably within a law firm setting.
  • Proven expertise in drafting and negotiating complex finance documents.
  • Strong understanding of corporate finance, lending structures, and secured transactions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the New York State Bar.

Certifications

  • Must be admitted to the New York State Bar.
