Claims Examiner
The candidate will provide responsibilities include: Calling adjusters and attorneys for status. Negotiating with attorneys. Being familiar with different case laws. Drafting, mailing and faxing correspondence. Calling insurance carriers for claim information (claim #, adjuster name, phone, fax and mailing address). Providing clients with accident details, reduction requests, etc. Reviewing plan documents for possible exclusions. Acting as the CH’s out of office (checking voicemail messages and emails). Will be responsible for consistency and accuracy on time-sensitive documents. Managing a large case load. Using MS Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and other programs in preparation of correspondence and/or other documents.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate has associates degree or higher is preferred. Must have 1-3+ years of Subrogation/Reimbursement experience. Must pass applicable test(s) administered by department manager (including the applicable qualification cards). Must have excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task. Must have excellent communication skills as work entails constant public contact through telephone and written correspondence. Must have strong decision making abilities to determine recovery potential and proper reimbursement. Must have high level of proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel required. Must have outstanding organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills. Must have excellent telephone, writing and communication skills. Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure. Must have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as to work independently. Must meet regular attendance expectations based on agreed-upon schedule. Must have ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Must have ability to read, write and speak the English Language. Bilingual is preferred. Paralegal Certificate is preferred.
