Legal Assistant
The candidate will conduct preliminary legal intake, review, and research on the wide array of legal matters (e.g., HIPAA task force matters, personnel investigations, immigration matters, employment matters, corporate governance) that come to the Office of General Counsel in order to minimize attorney time required. Assume primary responsibility for the contract management system and internal legal files of the Office of General Counsel. Draft extensions, amendments, and addenda to contracts, coordinate feedback to and from internal responsible parties, and prepare and distribute final versions of contracts for execution. Manage the legal projects and the daily business and administrative operations of the Office of General Counsel including payment of invoices and tracking legal budgets. Coordinate meetings, assist with travel, and draft and prepare correspondence as requested by attorneys. Facilitate timely preparation, execution and management of a variety of legal documents, such as Powers of Attorneys, to assist IMB and its personnel in carrying out assigned responsibilities around the world.?

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communications, or Legal or Paralegal Studies. Should have 3 years of experience as a paralegal or legal assistant or comparable administrative support experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Teams, Word, Outlook, and Excel), CRM/ERP solutions, iCertis or similar contract management systems, Westlaw or other online legal research, and Docusign or other e-signature platforms. Virginia Notary Public. Ability to work in a high-volume environment with exceptional attention to detail. Strong analytical skills and ability to think strategically. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage routine projects & develop new processes to meet ongoing and special needs of the organization. Innovative problem-solving skills. Identify and implement sustainable process improvements.
