Associate Attorney Duties: Responsible for providing legal services for Litigation proceedings. Drafting legal documents, court appearances, and managing and advising clients on legal transactions. Review and interpret laws, rulings, statutes, decisions and regulations to determine advisability of defending or prosecuting lawsuit. Prepare and draft legal documents. Gather evidence to formulate defense or initiate legal actions, by such means as interviewing clients and witness to ascertain the facts of a case. Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presentation of cases. Prepare and attend legal proceedings with the ability to clearly and effectively summarize cases to judges. Management Responsibilities: Ensures quality departmental standards through effective employee performance management, to include employee training and development, and consistently administering personnel policies and procedures. Assume other responsibilities as position requires. Review client referrals and the corresponding case for pre-existing or potential issues. Review, analyze, and provide recommendations for any corrections that may be required for legal documents.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: JD Degree. Licensed to practice law in the state of Kansas. Licensure to practice law in the state of Missouri preferred. Intermediate knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Office Programs. Ability to type of 45 WPM. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
