Fall Internship Intern will have the opportunity to help the office in a number of areas by working with the legislative staff, assisting the staff with constituent mail and research related to their individual legislative issues. Also assist the communications coordinator with all aspects of media relations, which includes attending press events with the Congressman. All Washington, DC interns are also responsible for assisting with some clerical duties. Will be asked to answer phones, run errands, research legislation for the Member and legislative staff, attend hearings and briefings, and answer constituent letters on various issues before the House. As a result, interns learn about the legislative process and the many other functions of a congressional office. Deadline : July 15, 2018.
