ProfileIn House Counsel The candidate will counsel on healthcare and non-healthcare matters. Will provide practical and wide-ranging advice on legal issues. Review contracts/renewals related to physicians, suppliers, independent contractors and other corporate relationships including LLC/Corporate. Use federal and state healthcare laws to advise in risk management, guardianship, healthcare decision making issues. Review payer participation agreements and lease documents.
Qualification and Experience
The ideal candidate must have superior academic credentials and 3+ years of corporate, regulatory or transactional experience in a law firm setting, including representation of healthcare organizations. Must have a Bachelor’s Degree and a Juris Doctorate Degree, current state license. Must have knowledge of regulatory issues related to EMTALA, HIPAA, STARK, Anti Kickback Statute and Credentialing. Solid knowledge of HIPAA, Affordable Care Act, Medicare, Medicaid, Stark law, False Claims Act, and Federal Anti-Kickback Statue is needed.
