Attorney The candidate will provide legal assistance, counseling, and advocacy primarily on regulatory, land use, and real estate matters. Will respond to legal inquiries and advise and assist firm's personnel regarding zoning and permitting issues, including drafting documents, resolving disputes, interacting with state and local agencies, and managing outside counsel when necessary. Identify, understand, and communicate current and proposed federal, state, and local laws and regulations that may impact firm's performance, operations, and compliance, particularly with respect to zoning and permitting matters and telecommunications. Assist with developing and maintaining firm's procedures, forms, and written guidance. Design and provide training to firm's personnel. Serve as the legal liaison to an Area, Region, or firm's functional department.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree. Must have Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Must have 3-5 years of related legal experience, 5 years of experience preferred. Strong knowledge of land use, regulatory and real estate law is required. Must have basic knowledge of litigation, contract, corporate, and environmental law. Ability to work with federal, state and local codes and ordinances is required. Telecommunications experience useful. Experience working with and resolving challenges with state and local jurisdictions on land use matters is required. Thorough knowledge of legal research and writing techniques is required. Working knowledge of MS Office needed.
