ProfileProvidence office of our client seeks labor and employment/litigation associate attorney with 1-4 years of experience. The candidate will represent employers in management-side employment litigation and compliance work. Will be comfortable communicating with clients in a professional, practical, open and level-headed manner, even when dealing with highly sensitive issues. Should have 2+ years of litigation experience. Experience in forums that handle employment claims at the administrative level (state and federal department of labor; MCAD; EEOC; and RICHR) is preferred. Familiarity with substantive state and federal employment laws (such as leave laws, wage and hour laws, and anti-discrimination laws) is desired. Experience drafting non-compete agreements, employment agreements and policies is desired. Experience conducting manager trainings and advising employers as to termination, compensation and hiring best practices is plus. Rhode Island and Massachusetts Bar Admission (in good standing) is essential. Connecticut Bar Admission is a plus.
