CERCLA Litigation Contract Attorney The candidate will work on some of the most complex Superfund sites in the United States with top practitioners in the field. Will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge issues, such as the impact of emerging contaminants on Superfund sites. Must have J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials and status as an active member in good standing of the Bar in at least one state jurisdiction and ability to become admitted to a Bar in one of the states of Austin; Baltimore; Boston; New York; San Francisco; Seattle; and Washington. Must have 5+ years of experience with interest in a Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) litigation contract position. Must have experience with, or demonstrated interest in, the major environmental law statutes, such as CERCLA, the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act. Should have substantial experience in CERCLA and/or hazardous substance litigation, a clear interest in environmental law, a strong academic background, excellent written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Should be enterprising and have a strong desire to become a leader in the field of environmental law. Should have strong analytical, research, writing, and oral communication skills along with attention to detail, strong organizational skills, ability to work well under deadlines, and ability to assume significant client responsibilities. Creative thinking and problem-solving skills are required. Note: The position allows for part-time to full-time arrangements and will have a contract term of 18 months.
