A leading law firm is seeking a Corporate Attorney to join its Business Practice Group. This role involves working on a variety of business transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and venture capital financing. The ideal candidate has 3-6 years of transactional experience and a strong background in corporate law, providing the opportunity to work closely with clients and serve as outside general counsel on various business matters.
Location
Duties
- Represent clients in corporate matters, including drafting and negotiating purchase agreements, investment transactions, and governance documents.
- Advise clients on securities law compliance and regulatory matters.
- Manage both buy-side and sell-side mergers, acquisitions, and dispositions.
- Work with a team of specialists across different practice areas to provide comprehensive legal counsel.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality work and responsive communication.
- Stay informed on the latest developments in corporate law to offer cutting-edge advice to clients.
Requirements
- 3-6 years of experience as a transactional attorney, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions, securities, and corporate governance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and complete them within tight deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a commitment to client service.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.
Certifications
- Active bar membership in Michigan, Illinois, California, or Texas, or eligibility to practice remotely with appropriate licensure.

- In-depth knowledge of corporate and business transaction processes, particularly in M&A and securities law.
