Chief Paralegal The candidate will provide advanced paralegal services—evaluating and implementing litigation support tools and best practices in the collection, review, analysis, production, and presentation of case materials, to manage vendors, third parties, and a team of dedicated paralegals, all to support staff attorneys in ensuring the best possible outcomes for our clients. Manage and oversee day-to-day operations of the Federal Public Defender’s paralegal program and serve as trainer and supervisor for paralegal staff. Must have 8+ years of relevant experience are required, five of which must be specialized in the specific duties of this position. Candidates should have excellent research and communications skills, be familiar with a wide variety of evidence review platforms, discovery management databases, and trial presentation systems, and demonstrate an interest in social justice, civil rights, or indigent defense. Should have proficiency in CaseMap, Eclipse, Concordance, Summation, Trial Director and Sanction software or equivalent required. Experience in managing teams and complex projects is required. Prior criminal defense work is preferred. Deadline: February 15, 2018
