Data Quality Specialist The candidate will extract data from court documents; conduct a detailed data review and determine which rules and logic apply to ensure data accuracy; identify, research and resolve data issues/errors with the courts; and ensure customer satisfaction by providing comprehensive, accurate data that is accessible in a meaningful, user-friendly data format. Will extract and parse data; conduct a thorough review of data records from court documents to validate data accuracy and comprehensiveness. Determine the appropriate rule(s) and logic apply to ensure data accuracy. Follow department procedures for reviewing records and properly document data issues. Identify, research and resolve data inaccuracies and issues, such as parsing/keying errors and omissions, by carefully reviewing court information and researching findings through leveraging court resources including online tools, attorneys, and related court authorities. Monitor data in queue and process data content so that flows through the system timely. Build relationships/collaborate with court authorities, data acquisition resources, and data analyst. Train and mentor data acquisition resources on data review procedures involving assistance developing training materials where necessary; monitor and audit data acquisition resources work for accuracy and act as a point of escalation to address their questions and issues. Learn and apply an understanding of court terminology to utilize when researching information. Performs other duties as requested.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have some college in business, computers and/or equivalent work related experience. Demonstrated knowledge of bankruptcy, financial or related code and court procedures is desired. Demonstrated information seeking and research capabilities required. Prior paralegal or experience working with courts is preferred. Demonstrated basic MS Office Suite knowledge and Internet research capabilities is required. Prior data quality or quality assurance experience is preferred. Solid relationship development skills is required. Strong communication skills (verbal and non-verbal) including diction/terminology and the ability to learn court terminology and work effectively with courts and data team members is required.
