Job Overview: A law firm in Los Angeles, CA, seeks a highly skilled Senior Employment Single Action Attorney to independently lead and manage complex litigation cases. This role requires extensive experience in employment law and a proactive approach to advocating for clients in trial and alternative dispute resolution settings.

Job Duties:

  • Manage a substantial caseload with complete autonomy, handling all aspects of employment litigation from inception to resolution.
  • Lead and supervise an Associates, Paralegals, and Legal Assistants team to ensure efficient case management and client service.
  • Advocate for employees in trials and litigation against employers, applying expertise in employment law statutes and regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective legal strategies to achieve favorable client outcomes while managing costs.
  • Conducted depositions, met and conferred, ADR mediations, and negotiations to resolve disputes outside of court.
  • Deliver compelling arguments and represent clients in employment-related matters, including discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination cases.

Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience specializing in employment litigation, with a strong track record of successful outcomes.
  • Proven experience serving as Lead Attorney on the California Fair Employment and Housing Act (FEHA) matters.
  • Superior analytical and legal research skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities, including effective time management and prioritization skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience handling single-plaintiff employment cases and class actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor junior attorneys and support staff.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex legal concepts clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in legal technology and case management software.
