Job Title: Commercial Foreclosure Attorney

Job Overview:
A prominent law firm in Albany is seeking a skilled Associate Attorney to join its commercial loan workout and foreclosure division. This position offers the opportunity to work on complex commercial mortgage foreclosure matters and requires a strong background in foreclosure litigation.

Duties:

• Manage commercial mortgage foreclosure cases from initiation to resolution.
• Conduct thorough legal research and draft necessary pleadings, motions, and court documents.
• Oversee a caseload of foreclosure litigation, ensuring adherence to all deadlines.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, including trials, hearings, and depositions.
• Collaborate effectively with attorneys and support staff to deliver high-quality legal services.
• Communicate with clients, providing consultations and updates on case progress.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.
• Admission to the New York and/or New Jersey State Bar.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in foreclosure litigation.
• Proven ability to manage litigation from inception through trial.
• Strong analytical, research, and writing skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

Certifications:

• Active membership in the New Jersey and/or New York State Bar.

Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of foreclosure laws and regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• High attention to detail in managing legal documents and procedures.
• Excellent organizational abilities to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Familiarity with foreclosure-related software systems, including LexisNexis.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with legal teams, clients, and third-party stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
