The candidate work for Civil Law Division. May assist attorneys with: all aspects of cases in civil liogaoon, including drafting pleadings and mooons, discovery requests and responses, and appellate briefs, and conducong fact and legal research and analysis; public?finance transacoons; preparing legal?advice memoranda; and similar projects. Interns may have opportunioes to attend and/or to assist attorneys with deposioons and court appearances, including oral arguments. Current law students interested in company are encouraged to apply for internships. Must have excellent legal?research, wriong, oral?communicaoon, and analyocal skills, and should have demonstrated their interest in public?service careers, especially at the state level. Should have completed law?school classes in civil procedure, consotuoonal law, and legal research and wriong. Courses in public finance, appellate advocacy, and trial advocacy may also be helpful, but are not required.
